Don Schwall Baseball - 28 de octubre de 2023 Donald Bernard Schwall (born March 2, 1936) is an American former professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball as a right-handed pitcher. In 1961, Schwall posted a 15-7 record with 91 strikeouts and a 3.22 earned run average, for a Boston team that finished 33 games out of first place and ten games under .500. He won his first six decisions, extended the dazzling first-year stats to 13-2, and won Rookie of the Year honors, beating out Hall of Fame-bound teammate Carl Yastrzemski.

Don Schwall Baseball - 31 de agosto de 2016 Donald Bernard Schwall (born March 2, 1936 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania) is a former Major League Baseball right-handed pitcher who played with the Boston Red Sox (1961-62), Pittsburgh Pirates (1963-66) and Atlanta Braves (1966-67).
In 1961, Schwall posted a 15-7 record with 91 strikeouts and a 3.22 earned run average, for a Boston team that finished 33 games out of first place and ten games under .500. He won his first six decisions, extended the dazzling first-year stats to 13-2, and won Rookie of the Year honors.
Sent him 2 cards on 22 Aug and got both back signed on 30 Aug. Did not write ROY on the cards.

Sent on May 19th, 2011. Received back in SASE on May 27th, 2011. Card was undamaged in toploader. Signed card in thin black sharpie with the inscription "1961 AL R.O.Y." This was smudged but a bit, but was still very cool because I didn't ask for it. Also included a 3x5 black and white preprint photo of himself, signed in blue sharpie. |
