Wyche is a former player and former head coach for the Cincinnati Bengals. Perhaps best known for introducing the use of the No-huddle offense as a standard offense, Wyche's greatest achievement as a head coach was leading the Cincinnati Bengals to Super Bowl XXIII, which they lost to the 49ers 20?16, relinquishing the lead with only 34 seconds remaining. Wyche's 64 wins with the Bengals were the most by a coach in franchise history until October 30, 2011, when he was surpassed by Marvin Lewis. Wyche also played for the Washington Redskins, Detroit Lions, and St. Louis Cardinals. He also coached at the University of South Carolina and Indiana University, and for the San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Buffalo Bills.

On January 21, 2015, I sent an 8x10, LOR, and SASE to former NFL head coach, Sam Wyche. On February 2, 2015, I received my photo back signed by Coach Wyche and he also handwrote answers to several of my questions on the letter I sent him.

Sent him 2 cards when he was a Bengals' player on 9 Jan and got both back and signed on 20 Jan.. Wrote "Bengals - 1968" also on the cards.. He wrote his return address on envelope.. Sam Wyche Pickens, SC 29671... So that was another autograph..

Sam Wyche Success - 16 de diciembre de 2012
I used the address in the database to send a letter, blank note card and SASE to Coach Sam Wyche asking for a note of encouragement for my brither-in-law, a former coach awaiting a heart transplant. Coach Wyche graciously sent his autograph on the notecard and a personal letter. Mailed 12/8/12, received 12/15/12. I am attaching a photo of the autographed card. |
