Marcus Luttrell - Lone Survivor - 12 de March de 2018
Marcus Luttrell, (born November 7, 1975) is a former United States Navy SEAL who received the Navy Cross and Purple Heart for his actions in June 2005 against Taliban fighters during Operation Red Wings. Luttrell was a Hospital Corpsman First Class by the end of his eight-year career in the United States Navy. He was deployed to Afghanistan in 2005 with SEAL Team Ten as part of SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team One (SDV-1). While in Afghanistan, he was involved in Operation Red Wings, during which the four-man Special Reconnaissance element with SDV-1 was discovered by local herdsmen, subsequently ambushed, and all killed except Luttrell.
Luttrell returned to the U.S. in 2007 and co-authored the New York Times bestseller Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of SEAL Team 10.
In the film Lone Survivor (2013), Luttrell was portrayed by actor Mark Wahlberg.
Sent him a bookplate on 5 Aug 2017 and got it back signed on 12 Mar 18. Did not sign the bookplate that I sent but one of his own that has the logo for Team Never Quit.

Lauren Bruner U S S Arizona survivor.. Unable to sign - 31 de July de 2017
Wrote to Mr Bruner on 7 Jul and on 31 Jul got my photos back unsigned on 31 Jul with a note saying that, "We appreciate your interest in Lauren Bruner and his involvement in the USS Arizona and Pearl Harbor. He can no longer sign copies of letters or pictures due to his poor eye sight, and his hands are unable to grip the pen. His failing health is also a contributing factor, at 96 years old."
I wish him well...  |

Ken Potts was loading fruits and vegetables for the crew when the attack happened. He climbed into the ship and helped evacuate all of the wounded sailors. A few weeks later, Potts was given a new assignment with classified information, and the FBI had to check on him. He discharged from the Navy in 1945. Ken Potts and his wife moved to Provo, Utah. In 2011, he went back to Honolulu to commemorate the 70th anniversary.
Sent Mr Potts 2 photos, one of him and one of the USS Arizona on 17 Jul and got both back signed with USS Arizona Survivor 12-7-1941 on it under his signature..

Donald Stratton U S S Arizona Survivor - 21 de July de 2017
On the morning it happened, Stratton had just left the ââ¬Åchow hallââ¬Â on the battleship Arizona when he heard a commotion up on the deck. It was a few minutes after 8 a.m. A group of fellow sailors were shouting, pointing out over the water at a cluster of planes.
ââ¬ÅI watched one of them bank and saw the rising sun symbol under the wings and thought, ââ¬ËBoy, thatââ¬â¢s the Japanese, and theyââ¬â¢re bombing us,ââ¬â¢ ââ¬Â he says.
Within seconds, the 19-year-old Nebraskan scrambled 60 feet up a series of ladders and joined a group of other sailors manning a five-inch, 25-caliber anti-aircraft gun.
ââ¬ÅWe were just firing away at all those planes,ââ¬Â he recalls. ââ¬ÅThey were coming in so close I could see the pilots when they went by. Some were waving and some were grinning.ââ¬Â
